Five people were arrested for alleged extortion and fraud schemes orchestrated from the Cruz del Eje prison in Córdoba province. The Córdoba Police reported conducting raids in the city of La Calera, apprehending the suspects. Three of them are believed to have planned the illicit activities from within the prison using smuggled cell phones. Officers seized over two kilograms of cocaine, two motorcycles, phones, cartridges, SIM cards, cutting agents, and other items of interest to the investigation. Additionally, further devices and drugs were confiscated during searches at the penitentiary complex, and the individuals involved have been remanded to the custody of the justice system.
